Malik Yoba
3x NAACP Image Award Winning Actor + Founder, Yoba Development
Although this 3x NAACP Image Award winning actor offers over three decades of commitment to the arts with over fifty film credits and more than a dozen lead roles in network/cable television series, he considers himself a community and youth advocate first.
Born in the South Bronx and raised in Harlem, it was his debut in the 1993 Disney classic Cool Runnings and his performance as NYPD Detective J.C. Williams in the groundbreaking nineties police drama, New York Undercover, that catapulted Malik into the fabric of American culture. A serial entrepreneur, he is the founder and CEO of Yoba Development, a diversified portfolio company specializing in real estate, education, and media. As a mission-driven firm, they are committed to building human capacity through education and media while simultaneously pursuing sustainable, affordable and market rate mixed-use development projects in transitioning neighborhoods. Yoba Development has active real estate projects in New York, Baltimore, Augusta GA, Chicago and Charleston. In 2023, he co-founded Yoba Global Solutions a federal contracting business with several of his family members where he serves as Head of Business Development. In 2022, Malik received an Honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters from Livingstone College.
Yvette Noel Schure

Born in Grenada and raised from age 14 in the United States, Yvette has built a career spanning more than three decades in music and entertainment. She got her start as a journalist, editing Black Beat Magazine from 1985 to 1993 and interviewing icons like Michael Jackson and Janet Jackson, before transitioning into PR at Columbia Records/Sony Music in 1993, rising to Senior Vice President of Media.
Since 1997, Yvette has served as the longtime publicist for Beyoncé Knowles-Carter, becoming one of the most powerful and influential figures in entertainment PR. Her roster now also includes Kes The Band, further cementing her reach across genres and generations of artists.
David P. A. Mullings
Executive Chair of Blue Mahoe Holdings Ltd
David P. A. Mullings is a Jamaican investor and philanthropist. He is the founder and Executive Chair of Blue Mahoe Holdings Ltd, a Bahamas-based private impact investment firm focused primarily on the Caribbean that is planning to list their core holding, Blue Mahoe Capital Caribbean, on the NASDAQ. He also serves on the board of Sixth Region Investment Management based in The Bahamas. David has made it his mission to unlock diaspora capital for the Caribbean. His journey is a powerful blend of entrepreneurial spirit, innovation, and commitment to shaping a legacy that transcends borders. Through the Mullings Family Foundation, he has also demonstrated a deep commitment to education and development. The Foundation has committed to endowing a scholarship at the Miami Herbert Business School for students focused on Caribbean economic development.
He is the recipient of the distinguished 2021 American Foundation of The University of the West Indies Chancellor’s Award for Business Excellence. He is President-elect of the Alumni Board of Directors for his alma mater, the University of Miami, serves on both the Global Advisory Council and Dean’s Advisory Council at the Miami Herbert Business School, recently appointed Deputy Chair of the board of the African Caribbean Sustainability & Investment Initiative (ACSII) based in London, serves on the Board of Directors for the Institute of Caribbean Studies in Washington, D.C., on the board of and was Chair of the board for the Young Entrepreneurs Association of Jamaica.

Stasha Harris is the Founder and CEO of Magic Fingers Institute, a licensed beauty school committed to training the next generation of beauty professionals. A former salon owner for 17 years, Stasha transformed her passion for hairstyling into a thriving career built on education, innovation, and entrepreneurship. She is also a product inventor with global brand partnerships, developing professional hair products sold around the world. Through Magic Fingers Institute, she has helped graduate more than 170 students, empowering aspiring beauty professionals to build successful careers. Her commitment to excellence, mentorship, and creating opportunities has made a lasting impact on the beauty industry and the communities she serves.
My legacy is creating opportunities that outlive me. I want to be remembered as someone who didn’t just do hair built careers, opened doors, elevated beauty education and showed others that their talent could change their lives. I want my daughters to see what’s possible when you lead with purpose, and I want beauty education to earn the same respect as a traditional college education. Every student I teach, every entrepreneur I mentor, and every life I impact is part of the legacy I’m leaving behind.
Stanfort J. Perry
CEO, AHRC Nassau
Stanfort Perry is a prominent leader in nonprofit disability services, currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer of AHRC Nassau and its affiliate agencies, Citizens Options Unlimited and the Brookville Center for Children’s Services. These organizations provide lifelong support to individuals with developmental disabilities and their families on Long Island.
With over 30 years dedicated to advancing nonprofit disability services, Perry has led agencies that exemplify the highest standards of excellence. AHRC Nassau and Citizens Options Unlimited have earned Compass agency designation from the New York State Office for People with Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD) and hold the Person-Centered Excellence Accreditation with Distinction from The Council on Quality and Leadership (CQL). Notably, in 2023 AHRC Nassau was the only disability service provider in New York State recognized by Forbes as one of “America’s Best-in-State Employers”.
Perry’s professional and civic contributions have been acknowledged through numerous awards and honors, including the Nassau County Beacon of Light Award, Caring for the Community Award, Operation Get Ahead Community Service Award, Crains NY Excellence in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Award, and the Excellence in Nonprofit Leadership Award from Adelphi University.
He holds a Master of Science Degree in Management from Buffalo State College.
Sueann Tannis
Communications Leader and Advocate; Associate Vice President, Global Communications, United Nations Foundation
Born and raised in Barbados, Sueann Tannis is a communications leader, an advocate for girls’ education, and a public speaker. She is Associate Vice President, Global Communications at the United Nations Foundation. In this role, Sueann has run award-winning campaigns and worked in partnership with notable brands to push for progress on climate action, gender equality, global health, and more. Prior to joining the UN Foundation, Sueann led communications at the Caribbean Development Bank, working in the President’s Office to shape breakthrough narratives around climate resilience, infrastructure, and regional economic development. Her early career spans digital strategy consulting with a $500 million World Bank trust fund, alongside communications roles across financial services, luxury retail, and tourism.
A committed champion for the next generation, Sueann is the Founder of the Legacy Scholarship for girls in Barbados. She is also a two-time Jury President at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity, a former member of the Forbes Communications Council, and a frequent speaker and writer on career development, education, and the Caribbean experience. Sueann holds a Master’s degree in Public Relations from Georgetown University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Communication and Culture from Howard University.
Bert Lurch
Founder, E Central Medical Management / oNet Systems
Bert Lurch is the Co-Founder and CEO of E Central Medical Management and o-Net Systems LLC, both full-service medical billing and practice management firms. A graduate of SUNY Old Westbury, Bert began his career at Northwell’s LIJ Medical Center before co-founding ECM in 1999 alongside his late business partner, Louis Burke. Today, the companies employ over 150 professionals, operating out of their New Hyde Park headquarters as well as through a combination of onshore and offshore remote teams. Beyond his business leadership, Bert is deeply engaged in the community. He serves on the boards of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Long Island and the Queens Chamber of Commerce. A strong advocate for cross-cultural connections, he actively promotes strategies that drive business growth across diverse communities. Bert is also committed to mentoring and supporting emerging entrepreneurs, particularly within minority business communities.
Jessica Johnson - Cope
President, Johnson Security Bureau, Inc
Jessica Johnson-Cope is the President and CEO of Johnson Security Bureau, Inc., a prominent, family-owned security firm based in New York City. As the leader of this third-generation company originally founded in 1962, she guides one of the country's oldest Black-owned and woman-led guard services, specializing in protecting infrastructure, commercial centers, and public facilities. Beyond expanding her family's enterprise through operational modernization and strategic scaling, Johnson-Cope is a passionate advocate for small business owners and women entrepreneurs nationwide. She notably served as the National Chair for the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses Voices initiative, utilizing her platform to influence policy and champion economic growth for diverse business communities.
Michael + Nicole Nicholas
Co-Founders, Aunts et Uncles
Mike and Nicole Nicholas are the husband-and-wife duo behind Aunts et Uncles, a highly celebrated plant-based cafe, bar, and concept shop located in Brooklyn. Opened in Flatbush during the height of the pandemic, the multi-hyphenate space acts as a vibrant cultural oasis that synthesizes the couple's collective backgrounds in streetwear design, music, and hospitality. Mike, a Flatbush native, and Nicole, originally from Toronto, deliberately designed the establishment to serve as a warm, welcoming "living room" for their community, filling its shelves with indie magazines, curated books, and clothing alongside a soulful, Caribbean-inflected vegan menu. Through their creative entrepreneurship, mobile food truck pop-ups, and community-forward programming, the couple has transformed the restaurant into a crucial third space that champions Black culture, clean living, and economic revitalization right in their own neighborhood.
