Carib Biz Network (CBN), a Caribbean small business development platform, will again host the largest business and cultural expo celebrating Caribbean culture and entrepreneurship in the U.S. during Caribbean American Heritage Month, June 23 – 24 in New York City. The two-day event will feature a 50+ Caribbean vendor marketplace, panel discussions featuring 20+ CEOs and other industry speakers, and Caribbean entertainment.

Dozens of vendors from the Caribbean gathered in City Point Saturday to put their businesses and cultures on display. Momentum, the largest Caribbean business expo event in the borough, was held as part of 17th annual Caribbean American Heritage Month across the country. The event featured over 50 vendors that included 30 from countries like Jamaica, Haiti and Trinidad.

June is Caribbean Heritage Month in the United States and has been since 2005. This year Carib Biz Network a small business platform decided to celebrate with a cultural, and business expo. Founder Dr. Nicole Grimes partnered with City Point Mall in Brooklyn, N.Y. for the two-day event. The expo featured vendors, a DJ, live steel pan music, and panel discussions. The event kicked off with a cocktail reception Friday night, June 25th.

Local fashion branding and marketing firm The Fashion Arch will represent 12 Caribbean brands at the Caribbean Biz Network entrepreneur expo Momentum, from June 24 to 26 in Brooklyn, New York. The brainchild of Trinidad-born branding specialist Dr Nicole K. Grimes, Caribbean Biz Network is the leading “Caribbean entrepreneur community” and facilitates networking and provides branding and marketing services to entrepreneurs from the diaspora. Through events, talks and consulting, Grimes works to unite and develop entrepreneurs both based in and outside of the region.
