Dr. Nicole K Grimes


Dr. Nicole K. Grimes is a powerhouse  award-winning education writer, consultant, educator, entrepreneur, and strategist whose work merges education, leadership development, and culturally-driven entrepreneurship. With over 25 years of experience, Nicole began her journey in the sciences—earning a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Cornell University, followed by a Master’s in Secondary Science Education from Columbia University, and ultimately, a Ph.D. in Urban Education from CUNY. She has led classrooms, schools, and national conversations on gender equity and inclusive leadership in STEM, even making history as the first woman of color and lay principal of Dominican Academy in New York City.

As CEO and founder of Carib Biz Network, Nicole has built a vibrant, internationally recognized ecosystem that empowers Caribbean entrepreneurs through curated events, workshops, and brand strategy services. Her platform, which began as a grassroots community initiative, has become a multiple certified M/WBE and a trusted name in the small business development space, especially among creators in the Caribbean diaspora. She has launched pop-up marketplaces at the Trinidad & Tobago Embassy in DC and throughout NYC—supporting hundreds of founders and helping them find funding, visibility, and scalable growth.

Nicole’s work has been featured in Forbes, Fox 5 NY and The Guardian T&T. She’s been honored by the NYC Council, Seeds of Fortune, and I Am Cultured for her contributions to education and entrepreneurship. She continues to advise institutions and small businesses on organizational leadership, scaling tactics, AI in schools, and strategic DEI practices.

  • Strategic Communications Officer

    Sarita Nauth is a pioneering Indo-Caribbean Producer, Social Media Strategist, and Beauty Influencer. With nearly a decade of experience as a Senior Social Media Manager and Producer at esteemed networks such as VH1, BET, and MTV, Sarita has spearheaded numerous award-winning digital series, including the acclaimed Black Girl Beauty. Her expertise extends to crafting viral red carpet coverage for prestigious events like the VMAs, MTV Movie & TV Awards, BET Awards, NAACP Image Awards, and the MET Gala, resulting in over 300 million viral video views.

    As an Influencer, Sarita has forged exclusive partnerships with prominent beauty brands, including Juvia’s Place, Il Makiage, and Evolve MedSpa. Her robust background in Publicity and Communications is underscored by a Bachelor's degree in Advertising Marketing Communications from the Fashion Institute of Technology, complemented by ongoing education in Digital Cinematography at Berklee Online. With over 10 years of experience in Media & Entertainment, Sarita is dedicated to amplifying the visual narratives of Caribbean women. She aims to foster authentic conversations surrounding beauty, culture, and identity, bringing these vital stories to the forefront of the industry.

    Kaysha is a passionate Graphic Designer, Content Creator, and Digital Strategist with a deep love for visual storytelling, brand building, and community engagement. With skills spanning from social media management, marketing strategy, and digital design, Kaysha brings a vibrant, results-driven approach to every project. Her work is defined by a keen creative eye, a strong understanding of audience behavior, and a commitment to creating impactful online experiences. As an emerging voice among women in tech, Kaysha is committed to designing innovative, user-centered digital experiences that empower brands, foster connection, and drive growth across platforms.

    Rooted in the rich culture of Saint Lucia, where her love for Carnival first blossomed at just two years old, Kaysha continues to carry the vibrant energy and pride of being born and raised in Caribbean into everything she does. Proudly calling herself "The Caribbean CREATE-HER," she is driven by a passion to represent her heritage, celebrate community, and inspire through both creativity and technology , always building a bridge between culture and innovation.

    Anthony George is an artist, graphic designer, photographer and writer from Trinidad & Tobago that is known mostly for his digital and traditional artwork. He has a diploma in Visual Communications Design from the University of Trinidad and Tobago.

    Rich in culture from both Trinidad and Jamaica, Lenique Vincent is an actor and writer teeming with passion. She has relished in delighting young audiences as numerous characters on Nickelodeon, especially in her role as Isa the Iguana on "Dora the Explorer." She is also known for her work on PBS Kids’ “The Electric Company,” ABC’s “What Would You Do?” and for several on and off camera commercials. In 2012, Lenique was nominated for a Daytime Emmy Award and has been striving for a win ever since.  A New York University (NYU) alum, Lenique relishes in storytelling and graduated with a double major in Theatre and Journalism. Lenique is an avid reader and foodie with a wanderlust and style.  A Brooklyn native with deep Caribbean roots, Lenique embraces every opportunity to sharpen her creativity—constantly exploring new ways to use her talents to celebrate culture and its power to shape communities and experiences. With every role and project, she aims to celebrate identity, spark dialogue, and leave a lasting impact.

    Kailee is a copywriter and creative strategist of Jamaican heritage. Originally from South Florida, she now resides in Brooklyn and spends her days working on creative advertising campaigns and building community through @Tallawah_co.

  • Shana Hall is a Senior Executive within the Alternative Investment Industry, with over 18 years of experience, focusing on Strategic Operations. Hall is currently an Executive Director at GCM Grosvenor, a global asset manager. Ms. Hall leads the client reporting team for the private equity, infrastructure, real estate, and absolute return strategies; responsible for client servicing, communications, and reporting. Previously she focused on strategic projects, product development and corporate investment opportunities. She also serves on the firm’s Culture Council. Prior to joining GCM Grosvenor, Hall was a Director at a boutique Third Party Administrator, where she served as a senior business development professional and was actively involved in the firm’s marketing and client service strategy. Before that, she was a manager at TPG leading the day to day fund operations for multiple private equity platforms, including 21 fund complexes. Prior to that, Hall was a Senior Manager in the Wealth & Asset Management practice of Ernst & Young in New York and Chicago, focusing on investment management and operational advisory services. She began her career as an Implementation Analyst at FIS Investran. Hall graduated from the Elliott School of International Affairs at George Washington University with her Bachelor of Arts in International Affairs and a concentration in International Economics. Hall serves on the National Association of Investment Company’s (NAIC) Women in Alternatives Advisory Board, is a Board Trustee for KIPP New Jersey, an Executive Board Member of the Council of Urban Professionals, and a Board Trustee for the Rockhouse Foundation.

    She is a proud Jamaican from Kingston, residing in the NY/NJ area. 

  • With nearly 20 years of editorial experience and a lifetime of travel under her belt, Danielle is journalist and travel expert who has been tapped to create and lead Black travel content at both EBONY and ESSENCE Magazines. Her pen has told the stories of countless Black travelers in the print and digital pages of Conde Nast Traveler, Afar Magazine, Sweet July, and many other outlets. In 2021, she edited an award-winning package on Black travel for Travel + Leisure, which led to Danielle leading their popular annual “It List” issue of new luxury hotels around the world, and bringing numerous tales of the Caribbean to the magazine’s lauded pages.Danielle holds a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism from Howard University. A born and raised New Yorker, Danielle is based in Brooklyn’s Little Caribbean neighborhood.
