MEET LENA DEL SOL ART
Lena, a multifaceted artist, has continually expanded her creative repertoire, from paintings to ceramic pieces and a 2020 home décor line, all aimed at sharing the Afro-Puerto Rican and Caribbean experience with a global audience. Rooted in her desire to capture Puerto Rico's rich heritage, spiritual customs, and diverse ecosystems, Lena's work embodies a celebration of cultural traditions and natural beauty. Born in Toronto in 1978, Lena later moved to New York City, initially drawn to the performing arts but ultimately finding her calling in non-profit work. However, a sense of unfulfillment led her to pivot towards her true passion, launching "Lena del Sol Fine Art & Décor" in 2014.
Drawing inspiration from her childhood travels throughout the Caribbean, Lena infuses her art with vibrant colors and cultural motifs, reflecting the region's rich tapestry. Her work, which includes mural projects, photography, and fine art pieces, has garnered recognition on national platforms and international acclaim, gracing spaces worldwide from Australia to Puerto Rico. Now based in Los Angeles with frequent visits to Puerto Rico, Lena's artistic journey continues to be shaped by her Afro-Puerto Rican heritage, reflecting narratives of West African ancestry through art, dance, and spiritual practices.
