Sandra Russo, CEO of Sandilou Textile in Haiti, draws inspiration from her upbringing surrounded by female artists and renowned Haitian mentors. Following studies in Miami, she founded Sandilou with her husband Fred in 2012, reflecting familial bonds in its name. Sandra's interest in fabric painting blossomed during a stint in Grenada, leading to Sandilou's focus on hand-painted fashion, accessories, and soft furnishings. With a team of artisans, they infuse Caribbean culture and nature into their designs, embracing slow fashion principles. Sandra envisions Sandilou as a reflection of Caribbean lifestyle, emphasizing joy, ease, and connection to nature.
