CBN: Thanks for that intro. What do you do when you feel stuck or overwhelmed? Any advice or strategies for others?

Shenequa: I've learned that life is not a race. Things will get done in due time. Lately when I'm feeling stuck or overwhelmed I simply turn off my brain. Sometimes you need a break to just do nothing, I turn on some music, color, or take out my journal and write what I'm feeling.

CBN: How would you describe your work ethic and where did this come from?

Shenequa: If I had to describe my work ethic in one word it would be ambitious. Since I was a teenager i've always had big goals and dreams. While in college I worked 2 jobs not because I had to but I just enjoyed keeping busy, being independent and having money of my own, that stayed with me through adulthood. I am always looking for an opportunity to show the world who I am and I'm so happy that my talent and determination gives me that opportunity. If you don't believe in yourself who will? Coming from an immigrant family working hard has always been something I was taught. Being an entrepreneur also pushes me be stay consistent and work hard because you only have yourself to depend on.

CBN: How do you currently deal with or overcome imposter syndrome?

Shenequa: I’ve struggled with imposter syndrome a lot. One way I overcome it, is by realizing it’s a normal thing, everyone is hard on themselves it’s a part of life. I am very passionate about what I do and believe what's meant for me will be. Using positive affirmations and speaking life into myself is another way I get though those feelings.

We thank you Shenequa for sharing your BOLD JOURNEY!
